Who we are
PROVA is operated by PROVA ARCHIVES LLC ("PROVA," "we," "us," or "our"). We publish a twice-weekly exotic car newsletter at prova.media. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
Newsletter subscribers: email address, country, region, and city (derived from IP address at the time of subscription). Gallery submissions: first name, email address, Instagram handle, car details (year, make, model), location (country and city, if provided), and uploaded photos or videos. Referral program: referral codes and referral relationships between subscribers. Email engagement: open events, click events (including which links were clicked), and ad slot click events, tracked per subscriber per issue via a tracking pixel and link wrapping.
How we use your data
We use your email address to send you the PROVA newsletter. We use engagement tracking (opens, clicks) to measure issue performance, improve content, and report aggregate metrics to advertisers. We use geographic data to understand where our readership is located. We use gallery submission data to feature user-submitted content on prova.media and PROVA social media accounts, as authorized by the submitter. We do not use your data for profiling or targeted advertising beyond our own newsletter.
We do not sell your data
PROVA does not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for their marketing purposes. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This applies to all users, including California residents under the CCPA/CPRA. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. Contact hello@provamag.com for any data requests.
Third-party services
PROVA uses the following third-party services to operate: Resend (email delivery), Supabase (data storage), Cloudflare R2 (file and image storage), Vercel (website hosting), Clerk (admin authentication), and Anthropic (AI-assisted content drafting with human editorial review). Each service maintains its own privacy practices. Your data is stored securely and is not publicly accessible.
Email tracking
Each PROVA email contains a small transparent tracking pixel that records when the email is opened, and links in the email are routed through our tracking system to record clicks. This data is associated with your subscriber ID and is used to calculate open rates, click rates, and ad performance. You can prevent open tracking by disabling remote image loading in your email client.
Gallery submissions and content rights
When you submit content to the PROVA Featured Gallery, you grant PROVA ARCHIVES LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute your submitted photos and videos on prova.media, in PROVA email newsletters, and on PROVA social media accounts. You retain all ownership rights to your original content. No third party may reproduce or use your content without your express permission. You may request removal of your gallery submission at any time by emailing hello@provamag.com.
Cookies
PROVA sets a functional cookie (prova_subscriber) when you subscribe, allowing you to access content without re-entering your email. It expires after one year. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies beyond what is described in this policy.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email or at prova.media/unsubscribe. Upon unsubscribing, your email is marked inactive and you will receive no further communications. You may request complete deletion of all your data (subscriber record, gallery submissions, engagement history) by emailing hello@provamag.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
Data retention
Subscriber data is retained for as long as your subscription is active. Gallery submissions are retained for as long as they are featured or until you request removal. Engagement tracking data (opens, clicks) is retained indefinitely in aggregate form for performance analysis. Upon deletion request, all personally identifiable data is removed within 30 days.
Children
PROVA is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact hello@provamag.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify subscribers via email. The date at the top reflects the most recent update.
